Georgia State first half

End of first half UNCW 41-37
-UNCW shot 60 percent in the first half, but it didn't really seem like it. The offense bogged down at points and Chad Tomko hasn't been able to run it with the fluidity that he has in the past few weeks.
-Michael Moynihan, grandson of Lefty Driesell, got his second start of the season and dropped 9 points in the first half. Michael Perry didn't give the kid much of a shot last year, but he's worked his way into Rod Barnes' favor. After two points all of last year, he's got 42 in the past four and a half games. I figured Chad Tomko would take it to him, but it's been a good matchup so far.
-Georgia State has gotten all of the bounces on the offensive end, grabbing 11 offensive boards. UNCW hasn't been in terrible position on all of them, the ball is just coming off the rim funny.
-UNCW closed the half on an 8-2 run and pushed the pace a bit as Georgia State went into a fullcourt trap. Teams know they can get turnover the Seahawks on the press, but pressing is also the quickest way to let UNCW build a lead between Daniel Fountain threes in transition or T.J. Carter going to the basket. The Panthers are well aware of that now.

3:38 Georgia State 33-31
-Georgia State is winning the rebounding battle 15-12, including 9 offensive rebounds. This is a problem. Just seems like they're getting the right bounces and pushing the UNCW big men too far under the basket to board.
-Daniel Fountain just ht his first three and there should be more to follow, as Georgia State has stuck in their 2-3.

7:54 Georgia State 24-23
-The Seahawks have yet to solve Georgia State's trapping 2-3 zone, settling for a few 3-pointers and trying to force a few passes. They have done a good job of finding an open man on the perimeter on kicks, but haven't converted yet.
-Georgia State has 6-foot-6, 195 pound sophomore Ousman Krubally in the center of their zone. Something tells me that he's about to get a strong dose of Vlad.

12:38 Georgia State 15-14
-UNCW came out of the last media timeout with a lot more movement, with Vlad finding a cutting Todd Hendley for the basket. On the next possession, they went right back to Vlad for a bucket underneath.
-Daniel Fountain has gotten a few kick out passes, but hasn't converted. If he knocks down a few, the Georgia State Zone won't last much longer.

15:36 Georgia State 8 -4
-Chad Tomko came out a little bit excited and tried to force a few passes and picked up an early foul, heading to the bench early.
-Georgia State came out in a 2-3 zone and trapped a few times on the wings. The UNCW offense hasn't found a rhythm hasn't reacted yet and is standing around the perimeter for the most part. T.J. Carter made a nice cut to the basket and took a pass from Vlad Kuljanin to the hole, but didn't get the basket or the foul call.
